When the bird is alive, it eats ants... When it dies, it becomes the ant's meal...
The potter molds and turns his clay throughout his life, yet upon death, the soil molds him into nothing...
It's only a matter of time... for every thing living shall be in a position of power and will be responsible for what it shall do with that power vested in its capacity...
As time goes by and as our records are kept by God, each soul shall pay. It's hard to be just I guess, when you are in power, but It is the only salvation.

No prospect is in sight!
Death will come when it will come,
Why comes not sleep at night?
I once could laugh at the state of my heart,
But nothing can make me laugh to-day.
To pray and penance is good, I know,
But my mind is not disposed this way.
There must be something that holds my tongue,
Not that I know not how to speak.
If you can't see my scalded heart,
Can't you O healer, smell the burn?
I am in that oblivious state,
A stranger to myself where I am.
I am dying to meet my death,
Death doth come, but not if willed.
Do you have the face to visit Kaba?
Ghalib you are brazen-faced!"

The guide...
The soul is a temptress and loves to look at beautiful forms
and the eye is the guide of the heart.
The heart commissions its guide to go and look to see what is there
and when the eye informs it of a beautiful image it shudders out of love and desire for it.
Frequently such inter-relations tire and wear down both the heart and the eye as is said:
When you sent your eye as a guide for your heart one day,
the object of sight fatigued you
For you saw one over whom you had no power
Neither a portion or in totality,
instead you had to be patient
